Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) Accounting alumna Tung Giim Chyn added another feather to her cap when she emerged as one of the two Malaysia Top ACCA Prize Winner for Advanced Financial Management (AFM) Paper taken during the March 2022 examinations. She achieved the Worldwide Placing of 1(2) when she scored 84% in her Advanced Financial Management Paper.

Architecture Students Awarded Honourable Mentions
|
A team of Lee Kong Chian Faculty of Engineering and Science (LKC FES) Bachelor of Science (Honours) Architecture students, consisting of team leader Amelia Low Chuan Yin, and members Cheah Yi Theng, Cheong Li Bin, Ho Song Sen, Jameson Yong Bee Jing, Koh Kwok Ming, Lee Jun Huang, Lee Kai Shin, Lum Li Qi, Lum Yeong Kang, and Sam Zheng Hwa, was awarded the Honourable Mentions at the Ghana Innovation Farm Competition 2021, organised virtually by Young Architect Competitions (YAC) from October 2021 to February 2022. In addition to receiving an award certificate, the award entitles the team’s project to be transmitted to architectural magazines, websites and international exhibitions.

Best Paper Awards for LKC FES Researchers

Researchers from Lee Kong Chian Faculty of Engineering and Science (LKC FES) were awarded the Best Paper Award for their researches titled Sustainability Criteria for Affordable Housings in Klang Valley Malaysia, and On-site Waste Segregation Practice in Malaysia: MRT Police Quarter Project, when they participated in the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia International Research Conference (RISM IRC) 2022 4.0 virtually on 5 March 2022. It was jointly organised by RISM and Taylor’s University.

Bachelor of Social Science (Honours) Psychology student Juliana Hoo Ju Yun was awarded the Best Presenter Award at the Malaysian Psychology Student Assembly 2022 (MAPSA), held on 26 March 2022 at the University of Nottingham, Semenyih. She walked away with a certificate of excellence for her paper titled Relationship Satisfaction and Intention towards Infidelity among Married Couples: The Role of Relationship Efficacy. The paper was also authored by UTAR Faculty of Arts and Social Science academic Tan Soon Aun.

Three Wins at 5th Tan Sri Haji Yusoff Ibrahim FYP Competition 2021
|
Three Lee Kong Chian Faculty of Engineering and Science (LKC FES) graduates won prizes at the 5th Tan Sri Haji Yusoff Ibrahim Final Year Project (FYP) Competition – 2021. Liew Son Qian emerged as the grand winner for his project titled “Hydrothermal growth of niobium oxide microrods in ammonium fluoride for electrochromic application”. Tan Wei Kun won third prize for his project titled “IoT based car plate recognition system” and Kwa Eng Keat won the special prize for his project titled “Finite element modelling of bone tissue scaffolds: Correlation between material properties and scaffold strength”.
