Two teams from UTAR Lee Kong Chian Faculty of Engineering & Science (LKC FES) received gold medals, certificates and special awards at the 33rd International Invention, Innovation & Technology Exhibition (ITEX) 2022 held on 26 and 27 May 2022 at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, Malaysia.

Choo Yung Kang, a student from the Faculty of Accountancy and Management (FAM) was recently selected to be the recipient of the KPMG Young Star Sponsorship Programme by the KPMG Education Trust Fund. Choo was invited to the KPMG Education Trust Fund Grand Awards Ceremony to receive the scholarship. The ceremony took place on 25 May 2022 at the KPMG Tower.

“UTAR JinBodhi Bursary 2022 Deed of Donation Signing Ceremony” was held on 2 June 2022 between UTAR and Bodhi Meditation Malaysia Berhad (BMMB) at UTAR Sungai Long Campus. The ceremony was held as an appreciation towards BMMB for their donation of RM350,000 to UTAR students for the year 2022.

Since 1 April 2022, the UTAR has progressed towards having more physical classes and activities on campus with strict compliance to the standard operating procedures (SOPs) for health and safety. Practical classes and tutorials have resumed with physical classes and hybrid learning while lectures remain online.

A press conference on Econsave Sinchew Charity Night for UTAR Hospital Fundraising-cum-UTAR 20th Anniversary Dinner was jointly organised by Econsave, Sinchew Daily and UTAR on 6 May 2022 at Sungai Long Campus. The event was supported by Guang Ming Daily. 

 

The charity night, which aims to raise funds for the UTAR Hospital, will be held on 6 August 2022 at HGH Convention Centre Sentul Kuala Lumpur.

In conjunction with the Parents’ Day celebration, UTAR Institute of Chinese Studies (ICS), Centre for Chinese Studies (CChS) and I Culture Berhad co-organised a Parents’ Day Celebration Luncheon (双亲节孝亲敬老午宴) on 11 May 2022 for the old folks community in Kampar at Tin Road Hakka Restaurant, Kampar.
